25-27 November 2015
Trondheim Scandic Lerkendal Hotel
MatRIC's Conference 2015 offers the opportunity to learn from the members of MatRIC's International Advisory Board. These senior university mathematics educators were invited to the Board because of their knowledge, expertise and experience in teaching and researching mathematics in universities. They bring knowledge of international and Norwegian higher education contexts. We value their insights, constructive critique and support in our efforts to develop MatRIC as a Norwegian centre of excellence in higher education. We hope the conference will help to spread their influence further.
The core of MatRIC's activities is concerned with bringing together university level mathematics teachers so that all can gain from each other's experience, innovation, and inquiries into teaching and learning. MatRIC's annual conference brings together mathematics teachers from universities and university colleges to meet and develop networks that will inspire and support innovation and research in teaching and learning mathematics.
MatRIC will pay for accommodation at Scandic Lerkendal hotel for mathematics teachers and mathematics education researchers at Norwegian universities and university colleges. Please note:it is necessary to make your own hotel booking following the instructions given at the registration link. Other participants who wish to be considered to have their accommodation covered are requested to contact MatRIC Project Manager: Line Eielsen Malde; a number of places are available for school teachers and international visitors. Participants are requested to cover their travel costs from other sources.
The first part of the MatRIC conference programme on Wednesday afternoon (25 November) consists of two lectures at the end of the NSMO November Conference. We are grateful to NSMO and the November Conference organisers for their invitation to MatRIC conference participants to attend these lectures.
